About the course

With Melissa Noble

How do you talk to yourself when you’re stressed? Do you tell yourself that you should be coping better, that you just need to ‘get on with it’? This course makes it easier to respond to yourself with kindness.

Over time, our capacity to cope with life can become reduced. We get stressed more easily and end up in a cycle of negative feelings, critical of our inability to manage whilst simultaneously being overwhelmed by the situations we find ourselves in.

This course will help break that cycle so you feel better able to manage life’s challenges. It explores the science of stress so you learn to recognise the early warning signs. You will leave feeling better equipped to respond to life’s challenges.

We will look at
  • Understanding the body’s chemical responses to stress
  • Identifying stress triggers
  • Monitoring and regulating stress levels
  • Creative stress management activities
  • Down-to-earth relaxation tricks
By the end of the session, you’ll have a personal stress management tool kit. It will serve you well in every area of your life.

“I really enjoyed the session. I learned a lot – even when I thought I know about this! Understanding of how my brain works, tips on how to change my behaviour when I can’t control situations and how I choose to respond.”
